    Colloquial form of mengambil. The ng- prefix replaces meng- in casual speech. Ngambil kuliah = to take a course/degree.

    Di prodi saya ada ibu-ibu yang usianya 50 tahun ngambil FKIP. Beliau menikmati perkuliahannya sampai mandu sesi ice breaking waktu acara latihan kepemimpinan.

    In my department there's a 50-year-old woman taking a teaching degree. She enjoys her studies so much that she even led the ice-breaking session during the leadership training event.
